Abstract:
This paper discuses what Theodor W. Adorno says about the problem of the happiness in his Ästhetische Theorie (1970). In the first part, I explain what I call "paradoxical happiness". This concept tell us why in the dissolution of the self it is increased the reification of the subjectivity. In the second, I show the adornian thesis about the happiness that we are able to recognize in his Ästhetische Theorie. In the third, it is criticized Adorno's position in order to sustain my thesis: all forms of happiness that subjectivity desires or finds, are paradoxical, beyond those that Adorno attacks.
