Abstract:
The Politics of Aristotle begins with a complex and precise characterization of the polis, revealing a new shape of discourse about the city. The specifical notes of aristotelian conceptualization are to be tracked in his polemical attitude towards traditional representations, all of which moved along a metaphor (in the grounds of her definition and her conflictive bonds with scientific-methodological and dialectical passages) as a previous and fundamental strategy towards the construction of an objective form of speech about the polis.
