Aproximaciones a la doctrina del pecado original en Anselmo de Canterbury (II parte): Lectura sincrónica del De conceptu virginali

Abstract

Esta segunda parte del artículo completa la interpretación general del DCV sometiendo el texto a una lectura sincrónica. Resultado: de una estructura tripartita, fruto de la lectura diacrónica (o sucesiva) centrada en el problema de la gravedad del pecado original, pasamos aquí a una estructura bipartita puesta de relieve por la mirada sincrónica (o simultánea), conducida desde quien es la razón de ser de todos los aspectos previstos en el texto: el hombre-Dios o el segundo Adán del que habla el Cur Deus homo. Esta nueva lectura, más fundamental que la anterior, muestra claramente por qué Anselmo ha dado su título -doble y único- a la presente obra: "De conceptu virginali et de originali peccato". This second part of the article completes the general interpretation of the DCV by subjecting the text to a synchronic reading. Result: from a tripartite structure, conceived by a diachronic (or successive) reading centered on the problem of the gravity of original sin, we pass here to a bipartite structure highlighted by the synchronic (or simultaneous) reading, led from the one who is the reason for the existence of all the aspects foreseen in the text: the man-God or the second Adam of whom the Cur Deus homo speaks. This new reading, more fundamental than the previous one, clearly shows why Anselmo has given his title –double and unique– to the present work: “De conceptu virginali et de originali peccato”.
