dc.description	In recent years there have been changes in global gas markets with different characteristics and scope, as the increasing use of liquefied natural gas (LNG); the growth of transport by ship in comparison with traditional gas pipelines; the introduction of unconventional resources such as shale gas and the presence of new actors. In this context, the general objective of this article is to analyze the changes in the energy flow, associated with the increasing transport of LNG by ship, in the context of the contemporary energy transition. Furthermore, as a specific objective we analyze the expansion of actors in the LNG market in the 2006-2013 period from a geo-economics point of view, that constitutes one of the central factors of analysis. Moreover, we analyze through a multiscale approach the geographical reconfiguration of the territory and the effects it produces on society, the environment and the territory. This approach is based on the idea that geographical scales represent complex and dynamic totalities where power relations are socially constructed through multiscale strategies by the actors involved.	en-US
dc.description	En los últimos años han sucedido transformaciones en los mercados mundiales del gas con diferentes características y alcances como el uso creciente del gas natural licuado (GNL); el incremento del transporte por vía marítima frente a los tradicionales gasoductos; la incorporación de recursos no convencionales, como el shale gas y la presencia de nuevos actores en la industria del gas. En este contexto, el objetivo general de este artículo es analizar los cambios en la circulación de la energía, asociados al incremento del transporte del GNL por vía marítima, en el marco de la transición energética contemporánea. Además, como objetivo específico se analiza, desde un punto de vista geoeconómico, la expansión de los actores del mercado de GNL en el período 2006-2013 que, aunque producida en un lapso corto y reciente, constituye uno de los ejes centrales de análisis. Asimismo, a través de un enfoque multiescalar, sustentado en la concepción que las escalas representan totalidades geográficas complejas y dinámicas, donde las relaciones de poder son socialmente construidas a través de estrategias multiescalares de los actores involucrados, se analiza la reconfiguración geográfica del territorio y los efectos que provoca sobre la sociedad, el ambiente y el territorio.	es-ES
